As a Walker I've been making and walking, assessing and noting, inspecting and enquiring into the forests in my local area of the South Downs in Sussex. I've been recording and making in a number of ways but one area of exploration has been writing poems while walking in the forest landscape. They are simple acts of walking, marking on paper about place, space, locality, time, time, distance, and feelings on well trodden paths. They are on a human scale relating to my past and present.
